I went to AWA and on the first day Friday i had a awful time, but that was because i lost my mittens that i had bought from a vender i had befriended at another con (they were also the only pair she had brought to the con so I also felt bad that had lost something that the vender had personally liked). That day to me was the day the " Poor little kitten had lost her mittens". After I had found out that my mittens were missing, (I had placed them on a bench because I couldn't answer my cell with them on I had thought i placed them in my purse) I then told my sister who went out of her way to ask every vender if they had seen them, then on top of that carried around a sign that said " Lost Mittens! They are white with black claws and black pads, please return them!". ( My sister is Awsome) While we got a few laughs they were a lot of people who were very nice to us.
Well they was no luck for us on Friday so we went home to get ready to come back Sat. Sat. we came with our niece and nephew ( something we are not doing next year) LOL. While they were good on the most part, it was still annoying to have them around, with all their touching, constant running around, and complaining about being hungry, tired, thirsty and so on. My sister was upset because the staff would not let go to an autograph panel, Line was full or something like that, so now she was put down. The day was just so hard to enjoy because of my lost mittens, Chelsea's missed autgraph session, and the kids constantly making out this to be their weekend instead of ours. ( sorry we sound a little greedy there, but we waited a year and just on a whim invited them to experience an anime convention, but they are only into the mainstream anime like bleach so it was hard to control them) Anyway we felt much better because we have great friends who stuck with us till the very end, and the AMV awards were awesome. Chelsea also felt better after seeing Vic at the panel then he announced another autograph session on Sun. We were also able to watch Fullmetal Fantasy and after he sang "Brothers" which even the kids enjoyed! After we finished with the panels we did some last minute shopping in the artist alley. And wanted to personally apologize again to my mittens maker for loosing them, when suddenly Chelsea came running up to me holding my mittens! Because of her hard work asking around one of the Artist Alley venders, to whom we have met at Momocon had found my mittens! ( Your Awesome!) We then took the kids to the mall to eat at the food court then went home.
Sunday, again we took the kids but also took my mom who's been to conventions before so she walked with them while we did our own thing. Chelsea ran to the autograph line and was up in the front but it was going to be 2 hours before Vic would be there, but she would not be moved! LoL. I bought some last minute anime and a painting from my favorite artist, Alain Viesca and my picture taken with him. Chelsea eventually got her autograph and we decided to go home early because my mother felt sick and we were very tired. So with buying a lot of buttons, my mittens, some anime, a beautiful painting, some commissions and an autograph, we went home awaiting the next convention.
Love you Guys!
